Don't know which scent to choose? The following contains the scent descriptions along with the therapeutic benefits of the essential oils.


Scent description: A light, fruity citrus oil. The fragrance is a refreshing citrus but slightly spicy, uplifting yet mellow.

Uses: It is an excellent deodorizer. Aromatherapy benefits: uplifting, inspiring, confidence-building.


Scent description: Cedarwood essential oil has a warm, woody scent with a hint of camphor.

Uses: Cedarwood is used to treat respiratory infections, sinus and lung congestion. It is also a good stress reliever. The balsamic-woody aroma of cedarwood oil evokes a feeling of inner strength and centeredness. It is quite useful in times of emotional stress and anxiety to overcome feelings of powerlessness.

Precautions: Cedarwood should be avoided during pregnancy.


Scent description: Cinnamon essential oil has a sweet, spicy-hot fragrance.

Uses: Cinnamon has a cleansing effect, it warms and stimulates. Cinnamon can be used for flu, rheumatism, warts, coughs, colds and viral infections. It reduces drowsiness, irritability and headaches. Aromatherapy benefits: refreshing, vitalizing.

Precautions: Use with caution or not at all during pregnancy.

Clary Sage

Scent description: A nutty, warm, herbaceous scent.

Uses: Clary sage soothes and relaxes and is used to ease pain and muscle tension. It also helps to relieve depression and encourages sleep. It aids in helping nervous system disorders such as frigidity, migraine, nervous tension and stress related disorders.

Aromatherapy benefits: centering, euphoric, visualizing.

Precautions: Do not use if you are pregnant.


Scent description: Camphor-like, penetrating scent.

Uses: Eucalyptus is a fresh, stimulating oil. Eucalyptus oil is used as an inhalant to relieve lung and sinus congestion. Eucalyptus is also one of the strongest essential oils to help fight viral infections such as the flu. It also helps alleviate headaches.

Aromatherapy benefits: purifying, invigorating.


Scent description: Fresh floral sweet scent, a woodsy combination of rose and citrus.

Uses: Geranium is a “balancing” oil. It has a calming, relaxing and uplifting effect both physically and emotionally. It fights bacteria, viruses and fungi and is known to be an antidepressant. Aromatherapy benefits: soothing, mood-lifting, balancing.


Scent description: Grapefruit essential oil has a fresh citrusy aroma, similar to lemon.

Scent description: Lavender has a sweet floral but very herbal fragrance.

Uses: Lavender is one of the most antiseptic of the essential oils; it is also one of the most versatile. Lavender is used to treat a variety of infections, including skin, lung and sinus. It reduces inflammation and is excellent for refreshing tired muscles and relieving aches and pains. Lavender also acts as a sedative and anti-depressant. Scent description: Rosemary essential oil has an herbaceous, woody, camphor-like aroma.

Siberian Fir

Scent description: The oil is a fresh pine scent.

Uses: Applications include air fresheners, room sprays, and disinfectants. Clearing, refreshing and restoring. From the Siberian fir tree, the distinctive and refreshing pine-forest fragrance has an affinity with the respiratory system and helps to maintain clear sinuses.

Tea Tree

Scent description: Tea tree essential oil has a medicinal scent that's somewhat earthy and herbaceous.
